to Espoo
The capital region west of Helsinki, and a very different delivery. Modern apartment blocks with lifts that work, detached and terraced housing with driveways, and districts far enough apart that the district name matters more than the city one.
Espoo is where a large share of the people relocating to Finland for work actually end up living, and for a removals crew it is a considerable relief after central Helsinki. Buildings are newer, lifts are sized for furniture, and there is somewhere to put a vehicle.
What Espoo is, though, is big. It runs from the Helsinki boundary out to genuine countryside, and a delivery in Leppävaara and a delivery near Nuuksio are an hour apart in planning terms. The district is the useful piece of information, not the city.
The districts we deliver to most
Tapiola
The planned garden city, and a mix of mid-century blocks and newer building around the metro. Good access, decent lifts, and parking that can generally be arranged. The older Tapiola blocks occasionally have small lifts — worth measuring.
Leppävaara and Matinkylä
Dense modern apartment stock around the transport hubs, and the easiest deliveries in the region: loading bays, goods lifts, wide corridors. Many have a housing company booking system for the lift.
Espoon keskus and Kauklahti
Mixed apartment and terraced housing. Straightforward, with some longer carries from the parking to the door on the terraced rows.
Detached housing — Westend, Haukilahti, the northern districts
Private drives, garages and turning space. Easy in summer. In winter the questions are whether the drive has been cleared and whether a fully loaded vehicle can turn on it, and it is worth having an answer before the day.
The capital-region run
Espoo, Helsinki and Vantaa are delivered on the same run. If your household is splitting across two of them — a flat in Espoo and storage in Vantaa, say — tell us at quote stage and it goes in one visit rather than two.
Housing company rules
As in Helsinki, the taloyhtiö may set a notice period, permitted hours, and a requirement to protect the lift and stairwell. Newer Espoo buildings tend to be more organised about this rather than less, so ask early.
Getting there

Is Espoo easier than Helsinki?
For a removals crew, yes, noticeably. Modern blocks with proper lifts, detached and terraced housing with driveways, and road layouts that let a lorry get close. The catch is that Espoo is large and spread out, so "Espoo" tells us very little — the district matters.
Which districts do you deliver to most?
Tapiola, Leppävaara, Matinkylä, Espoon keskus and Kivenlahti, largely because that is where the apartment stock and the international workforce are. Detached houses around Nuuksio and the northern edge are a different job — longer approaches and sometimes unsurfaced.
Do detached houses have access issues?
Occasionally in winter, when a drive has not been cleared or a turning area is under snow. In summer they are among the easiest deliveries in Finland. Either way, tell us whether a full-size vehicle can turn.
Is it delivered on the same run as Helsinki?
Yes — Espoo, Helsinki and Vantaa are one capital-region run. If your household splits across two of them, say so and it is handled in one visit rather than two.
